In cooperation with the Lolita Fashion Show, there MAY also be a Harajuku/Tokyo Street Fashion Show. The rules for this show will revolve around the original idea of Harajuku Fashion:

"Using Fashion As Your Canvas, Create A Portrait Of Yourself!"

(PLEASE NOTE:This contest may also include CyberPunk/"Rave" styles as well. Any "Goth"/Industrial fashion may be accepted into the Lolita Fashion Show under Elegant Gothic Lolita (EGL) Please refer to the Lolita Fashion Show thread for details.)

- ALL entries must be made by the wearer or the creator must be present and both model and creator get joint credit for the outfit.
- Participants must be able to explain what inspired them to create their outfit the way they did.
- Along with the outfit itself, makeup, hairstyles and homemade accessories will also be judged. (Anything purchased will NOT be judged.)
- Shoes will NOT be judged.

Any questions, ideas, comments, etc. should be posted here!

Any updates will be posted as edit/add-ons to this post.

Oh! this sounds so cool! I really love visual kei style. That counts kinda, right/ I mean, if you make it yourself, but it's still kinda like visual kei -ish? This is such a nice idea, though. Hey, has anyone read through the book "FRUiTS"? It's got some awesome pics in it. Oh! For anyone who's not familiar with Harajuku/Japanese Street Fashion, here's a pretty accurate reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harajuku Please do some research before you claim you know the fashion. Gwen Staffani has raped it sideways and now teen girls are thinking it's awesome to wear "Harajuku" brand merchandise... which completely defeats the original idea of the fashion trend! (Seriously, know what's really up wit the fashion or Na-chan might eat you! She can be uber scary!)

Nifty news regarding the Harajuku Fashion Show! We've just confirmed that Asif Gill, who spend a good chunk of time living in Harajuku, Japan will be our host for this year's show! Along with the fashion show, we'll be in for a real treat, I'm sure, as we'll be told the tales of the many things one may see in Harajuku, Japan! ♥

Also! Check out Asif Gill's website, here: http://www.48intokyo.com

I don't "make" clothes. I buy alot of things and put them together. Is that okay? I also have a few hair-pieces/dreads that i have made and like to wear. Is that also okay? I have alot of different styles, is it okay to make a few entries, or is one acceptable? I like decora, lolita, Vk, and raver/cyber styles. So you can imagine.

Heya! This is all perfectly okay! I'm a fashion junkie, too, and I do a lot of "found clothing" projects. (I'm a sinner for thrift stores!) The judging in this category is going to be of the overall outfit, and using pieces of clothing to create the style you love is a very good idea! Anything goes is a pretty good idea when designing things for this show. If you can imagine it, it's good to go! Obviously, no nudity or smuttiness... though I shouldn't even have to tell you that, really. I'm sure everyone entering will create some dazzling outfits! I can't wait to see them! As for the number of submission... you can submit as many outfits as you want! I would suggest having a friend or two help you by modeling some of them, though. It can get tricky trying to change in 10 seconds, especially into something that's not so simple to put on.

I'm actually not too familiar with Decora style, though I'm a nut for Visual-Kei.

Also... I, too, LOVE anything raver/cyberpunk style, so I'm sure we'll have great fun at the rave this year! ♥

Ahhhh... Good. I have too many styles of dress. I am currently trying to get a hello kitty-decora style outfit together right now. ^w^ I'm a nut for ebay sales. And thrift stores, so you got me there! I'm sure to have like 3 outfits put together, so that's how many i'll probably be entering. Hopefully it's more then ten seconds!! Make-up is important, too!! xD I'm very excited to be working with you, by the way~ I can't wait!! ^_^
