I've come to notice that the Lolita Tea Party event is growing quite popular with today's anime cons. If anyone would like to plan a Lolita Tea Party, I'm sure the weather would be perfect for it, and the hotel has a great central green area complete with gazebo, concrete "stage" area, and beautiful landscaping that would be a great setting for a Tea Party or Picnic. please email me if any of you are interested in this event and I will make the necessary arrangements! Thanks you!

To clearify, a Lolita Tea Party is usually a more fan-run event. The "Tea Party" theme fits well along with pretty much all of the Lolita styles. Everything from Elegant Gothic, Maid, Angelic, etc. Lolita styles can agree on the "Tea Party" theme. It's a great way for girls to relive a simple part of general girly childhood happiness. Most tea party events are actually more like picnics, with a blanket spread out under some shade trees and each person bringing some stuffed toy friends and either a snack or a drink to share. It's a relaxing way to observe the idea of the "Old English Tea Time" that many Lolita today have a fancy for. This thread is for anyone who'd like to dress in Lolita style and participate in this event. Connect with others and make Tea Party plans here! ♥

There are very few male Lolita in retrospect to the population of females who dominate the field. Most guys that dress in the Lolita style are very effeminate, and many are comfortable enough with their own sexuality to wear the beautifully elegant Lolita dresses. The greatest example of a male lolita I can give you is Mana-sama, from the band Malice Mizer: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/LolitaMana/Mana-sama/manabu15-1.jpg (Just to clarify... Mana-sama is male!)

It seems like you don't have much of an idea of what Lolita really is. Perhaps you should research the style before you make more assumptions.

It's really a nifty fashion movement and the styles vary so much. I love the originality, though am sad to say that it is a very female-dominated field.

Back on topic! Is there anyone who'd be interested in any sort of Lolita meet up? ♥

Here's a good FAQ that tells quite a bit about Lolita (and makes mention of boy styles): http://community.livejournal.com/egl/3124403.html

Anyway, I'd probably be interested in attending! ^^
